Hey guys this is going to be my build thread. i'm going to start it from a couple years ago when everything first started changing on my bike, and progress to where it is today, as well as be updated as new super exciting uber bad a$$ mods are added!

*EDIT* So this ended up being part build thread part history of my bike. hope you guys enjoy it.

So this isn't my bike per se but 1 that is identicle in stock form
{alt}

so the first thing i did when i got this sucker was hack as much off of the mud flap as i could. i used a couple of straight brackets, bolts and nuts. easy day.

Next up was painting the stock exhaust shields, i painted them a semi gloss with VHT, It held up really well, even when i melted a back pack to the tail, the paint bubbled a bit but not bad considering.
The parts drying
{alt}
{alt}

Mid pipe plastic heat shield
{alt}
 The pieces that go on and around the muffler
{alt}

I then applied reflective red pro grip rim tape. Sure was a PITA since i did not have a stand at the time, but i think i did a pretty damn good job getting it straight. There is no lowers on because right before i did the rim tape i changed the oil

A few days later the parts i ordered came in red Galpher stainless steel brake lines front and rear.
putting on the rear
{alt}
rear finished
{alt}
front finished
{alt}
It sure was a PITA to route the fronts, even re using all of the stock location.
These are how i fastened them to the forks

Going back together
notice the manual, that sucker saved my a$$ over and over
{alt}

{alt}

Some heat shielding i cut and applied to the battery tray since the aluminum shield went away.
{alt}
it isn't pictured but i also put another piece that continues down the side above where the mid pipe would be
{alt}
The exhAust goingback on
{alt}
{alt}
this pic shows that you can not see the heat shielding, even from this angle its barely visible
{alt}
 While sticking to layers of the shielding togethor i knocked over the gorrila glue, and for some reason i thought it would be a good idea to put that spill crap (like kitty litter) on it..well it turned into a clump that was very hard to remove..dumb move lesson learned..
{alt}

I painted all the rear set bolts w/ VHT semi gloss black. some of them got messed up on install so i taped it all off and sprayed those on the bike.

Allright so this next go around here is going to have a crap load of pictures, they are all high res pics so do them some justice and make them big. My step dad took these while i was home on con leave in early november. The new things you'll see in these pictures Are Carbon Fiber (100% real) corner headlight covers, and sprocket cover. The CF is made by a guy named Mick in Fremont CA. his company is MC Creations. he is a bad a$$ guy, great product, with a stock fit and out standing service. As of now he only makes parts for the 07-10 CBR600RR, you'll see a few more of his parts on my bike as this progresses.
Also pictured will be my passenger pegs for the first time. They have been modified by Tripage LED to have 24 LED's that are hooked up as brake, running. and turn signals. There is 16 that face the rear and 8 in the side.

so to start off my favorite picture of my bike.

Allright next up, one of my favorite mods. a yoyodyne adjustable throttle. I'm using the 1/6 turn plate. It makes quite a difference. Stock throttles are 1/4 turn or 90degrees where s  the 1/6 turn is 60 degrees to WOT. its great, no more re adjusting your hand to go WOT or bending your arm in a ridiculous way.  The yoyodyne is also an aluminum tube as oppose to plastic like OEM. I had this installed by Shawn at Trackoholics in oceanside, ca. Awesome shop, awesome dude. This sucker was a PITA to put on, first the stock housing wouldn't come off because the metals were dissimilar and had fused. the angle that the Philips screw was at made it impossible to smack to de fuse the screw, so i told him to just brake that sucker off. sounds bad but it really isn't. there is a plastic nipple on the stock housing which keeps it from rotating, so just smacked it until that sucker spun a little and then that was that. the next problem in lied in actually connecting the throttle cables. huge pain because of where they are located. on a gsxr this would literally take 20 min. on my bike 2+ hours.
the housing
{alt}
comparison the old tube in the middle, new one on the top and a random grip at the bottom
{alt}
close up of the tube, a bit had to be cut off to make it fit on stock clip ons, no biggy easy day
