Just wondering if anyone is coming up to our beautiful part of the world to take in any of the action?   Or if your just staying home to watch, which events are you gonna be watching.

Im actually not going to any events but I'm taking a girl from my Girl Guide unit to participate in the closing ceremonies.  I plan to watch most if not all the hockey that I can.

I watched several events when they were here in Atlanta a decade ago and I would go back in a second.  Olympians are the coolest people in the world to talk to if you get a chance...true winners attitudes across the board.

I do love a good curling competition...they make for great drinking games.

I'll watch some of it on TV. Where I live we get olympic team training pretty often in rowing and kayaking and whatnot. We have a little resort on a canal that leads to the river, the boats can be secured in a huge barn on the premises. Last week we had the Germans in, but usually the Candians are here.

I'd like to check out the snowboard comps cause it sounds like there will be some good stuff to watch. Things are pretty busy so watching TV is limited to when things are calm ... which is seldom!

nah....i personally think smilies should be removed from forums
takes away from people showing how to properly express themselves with words

but, i aplaud your ability to take advantage of a timely and well placed action as calling me out......i would of done the same

on topic:
i'm not in one bit interested in anything involving the olympics........however, we are having some rediculous warm weather for the region right now

was able to get in a 500+ mile ride the other day......in the beginning of february.....crazy nice weather here

probably get more miles in during the olympics.....if it stays the way it has been

i would love to somehow go for a motorcycle ride, i haven't ridden since October. I'm having withdrawals......although the temperature here for the past few weeks (0-10 degrees typically) isn't that great for riding.....

Way off topic of this thread but do you seriously believe that? You never convey any human emotions with your body or face when you speak "words" ... sometimes they say much MORE than the words themselves and that is the purpose; to make sure to convey the message you intended. [ resisting urge to insert ton of smilies here ]

What was this thread about again? Oh yeah Olympics, I'm for it.
